Shooting Bigfoot - The Aftermath

Several bloggers have a head start on this story so I'll share all the links here. Tonight has been fast and furious. I have been busy with friends on Facebook watching Dyer's "Celebration" show. Most of us had multiple tabs open trying to gain any information from movie goers.
Bigfoot Evidence has several posts with updates and information points to a hoax. You will need to read the posts Shawn has up to get the full effect.
Next up we have Steve Kulls. As many of you know, Mr. Kulls has taken a severe bashing from Dyer lately, an undeserved bashing at that. All we want is the truth.
Here is what Steve has to say: Survey Says.........HOAX
The Crypto Crew has joined the crowd and put up a post here. TCC some time ago was of the opinion that Dyer had indeed killed a Bigfoot, but it looks like their opinions may have changed. Check out their site to find out what they have to say about this entire farce(my words), not theirs.
So far FB/FB have been silent. They were tweeting all day about their trip, customs, dinner etc. then it went quiet after the film.
Some people were not quiet and were busy tweeting:

I was busy watching the celebration show and it was interesting, even if Rick wasn't there for most of it. Rick finally got on the show and things got heated. Things got heated and people were demanding answers. Dyer looked visibly shaken and distraught. He was at a loss for words and his face was red. All of a sudden there were audio problems and Rick eventually got it fixed (or turned on again), then the show just stopped as if someone yanked the plug out of the wall.
I'll add the video tomorrow, it's currently uploading. I missed the first part of the show however.
Rick did say the body will be released August 15th. That's another 2 1/2 months. Does he think people will stick around that long?

Bigfootpolice Censored

Many of us in the Bigfoot community are aware of the Bigfoot Police and the videos he/she produces. bigfootpolice has been around since the 2008 Georgia hoax...probably  before that. The tag line on the YouTube channel says it all; "Our goal is to expose hoaxers"
Lately the Bigfoot Police has come back to share more videos with us regarding the latest Dyer not embalmed-not-frozen-somehow-magically-preserved-dead-Bigfoot hoax.
Today bigfootpolice posted a video that clearly shows Rick being the hypocrite most of us know he is. It shows Dyer contradicting himself. Freezer Boy has stated numerous times that he is not a racist and he is tolerant to all people regardless of their colour, religion and/or sexual orientation.
I won't get in to names, but there have been many times that Rick has subtly made fun of a friend of mine for being gay, and he lets his groupies post anti-gay commentary. Dyer also had an anti-Muslim video up until he swept his channel clean.

Rick Dyer is also intolerant of ANYONE who disagrees with his claims that he shot and killed a Bigfoot and he viciously attacks any person posting anything negative about him, especially when the posts are based in FACT.
Sure, Rick makes weak excuses for what he's said in the past and unfortunately some gullible people believe him. Most of us however do not. Rick has done nothing in the past five years to redeem himself. He has done nothing to change his ways.

This brings me back to bigfootpolice and the video that was posted today. The video posted was based on facts any person can read, yet the video was pulled by YouTube.
My guess is either Dyer, his thugs or both initiated this. They are likely upset because FB/FB had their own channel shut down for copyright infringement......once again, blamed on the "haters".

I have uploaded the video with permission so everyone can watch it. If you have a downloader, please download the video. If you have a YouTube channel, post the video.

'Shooting Bigfoot' Review: NOW

I know, I know. I have been posting quite a few reviews lately, but these are important reminders for future reference. At least I think so at any rate.
I came across this review and the last review thanks to some friends on Facebook and I want to share this with anyone who is interested.
NOW rates documentaries much like the "stars" system except they use "N". The ratings are out of four N's, four being the highest, or best rating.

'Shooting Bigfoot' managed to garner a two out of four according to the reviewer.

This review is very short compared to previous ones but it's worth posting. Here is what was said about the documentary:

Review By Norm Wilner NOW Rating: NN

Less a documentary than a good old-fashioned freak show, Morgan Matthews's BBC documentary follows a bunch of American hayseeds in search of the elusive Sasquatch.

One of them, notorious hoaxer Rick Dyer (who once tried to pass off a monster suit filled with offal as a Bigfoot corpse), takes Matthews on a night-vision cryptid hunt that turns into a half-baked spin on The Blair Witch Project.

I guess it's technically a documentary in that Matthews is filming real people in real environments, but by the time the movie reaches its (supposedly) shocking ending, it's something else. Imagine the perpetually hapless Nick Broomfield remaking The Mysterious Monsters.

Note: it's co-presented by the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, which should give you a sense of its primary appeal.

Visit their site to find reviews of this and other films being shown at the festival.

Another 'Shooting Bigfoot' Review - And A Poster?

I didn't think this documentary could come off any sillier than it already has, but I was wrong. When I say "silly", I mean comedic. So far the reviews, poster and trailer aren't telling me the discovery of the modern age has been made.

There is a new poster out but I don't know if this one is legitimate. I found it on the page of FB/FB, so I remain cautious. Nonetheless, here is the new poster:

This poster looks more like something from a cheesy 60's comedy. I'm not bashing the art itself, it's nicely done, but I don't get an image in my head that anything serious or jaw dropping will take place.

Next up is another review: Panic Manual

"Through the eyes of director Morgan Matthews, we meet three groups of people who have made it their life mission to capture Bigfoot (and profit from it). The people we meet are all blessed with colorful personalities which adds to the entertainment level of the film. Each of them have claimed to encounter the mythical creature and each of them are dedicated to being the first to find and capture bigfoot."

I won't comment about the review, you have to read it for yourselves.
My opinion regarding this saga has not changed. The documentary is real, but there is no dead Bigfoot. This is one long drawn out hoax.....and a boring one at that.

Shooting Bigfoot and Scoring Laughs: The Latest Review

I know I'm late to the party. Things always seem to happen when I'm at work. It really makes no difference, this post will be another piece of the Dyer archives for future reference.
There is another review of 'Shooting Bigfoot' and this one should leave no doubt that there was no killing of a Bigfoot, but others may think differently. I'm sure some Dyer fan will try to say the reviewer probably didn't watch the film, but it does not happen that way, so get over it.

The documentary Shooting Bigfoot follows three expeditions led by four different devoted and off-kilter trackers.
One subject is Rick Dyer. Dyer has had his name besmirched in the world of hunting Bigfoot due to a scam that took the media by storm. Once he finds Bigfoot, he plans to capture it and take its life.
Another hunter is Tom Biscardi, a well known tracker who has no interest in killing Bigfoot, but was involved with Dyer’s hoax. By the skin of his teeth, he was able to somewhat clear his name even if both parties have different stories. He was, and still is, a man who is passionate about the hunt for the elusive creature and will stop at nothing to prove his truths.
The last team of hunters are a couple of best friends. Dallas and Wayne may look unprepared…and that may be true. However, with their prior experience hunting the mysterious beast and their ability to “successfully” make familiar calls to it, they’re the underdogs in this truly oddball story of dedication and the line that’s drawn in the sand between hopefulness and losing your marbles.

I seriously laughed my ass off after reading this review. If the documentary is shown in Calgary, I may go to see it....no, I more than likely will watch this because of how long I've been following this hoax by Dyer.

You can read the entire review here.

Shooting Bigfoot - Trailer

Well, here it is folks, the trailer for the documentary 'Shooting Bigfoot'. I asked Hot Docs via Twitter if there would be a trailer for this film and their reply was "Sorry, no trailer."
I wonder what happened and why things changed.

I watched this trailer three times and I'm trying to figure out how this is THE film to show the shooting of a living, breathing Ssasquatch. This documentary doesn't hint at the discovery of our life time.  All I see is comedy gold, and some fast talking. I'll  admit that I like Dallas and Wayne, but I could care less about the other two.
I noticed a few inconsistencies between Dyer's story and what was shown in the trailer but I'll be quiet and let you decide for yourselves.
Rick Dyer appears to be quite the Nature Boy (sorry Rick Flair). I didn't count the number of times Freezer Boy was in his boxers, but it was a few.
Without further delay, here is the trailer. Enjoy

Review of “Shooting Bigfoot” by Bob Turnbull:

Director Morgan Matthews states right up front that he used to be keenly interested in Bigfoot in his younger days. Years later, that interest has now flipped and turned into a deep curiosity of the people that continue to search, track and believe in the hairy Sasquatch. He follows along with three separate teams – the deluded but honest believers, the opportunist business man and the liar – while they go through their paces to gain any evidence of the long-elusive beast. Early on it looks like the film might be just like any other let’s-go-talk-to-crazy-people doc (filled with energy, but not shedding any interesting light on anything), but shortly after all three expeditions are arranged and we’ve jumped between each team’s early preparations with Matthews, we cut to the director lying in a hospital bed. Suddenly we have a different movie on our hands…
The film becomes more and more engaging as we learn more about these people, their techniques, self-delusions and possible deceptions. It’s all the more intriguing since you know that Matthews is going to face an ordeal of some variety, but with which team? None of them escape looking silly – Rick tripping in the woods while he wears cowboy boots, Tom’s admission after a particularly stressful moment that he’s had 7 stints in his heart, Dallas calling for Bigfoot using a “shamen language” – but there’s also a more serious tone that slides under the entire film as the teams come across numerous other people living in rather desperate and terribly sad ways. Guns seem to be easily acquired, the economy hasn’t rebounded for any of these folks and basic needs are a struggle to acquire. It’s a clever mix of myth debunking, suspense, silly fun and state-of-a-decaying-nation profile. So how does it end? Well, like Bigfoot itself, you’ll just have to see it to believe it.

Tim Fasano Speaks Up

I'm not sure what's up with Tim Fasano, or what got under his skin, but he's letting loose and talking about Freezer Boy again. Maybe it has to do with the fact that Dyer has been bashing Tim as well as everyone else in the community. Things have been fairly quiet yet Rick continues to bash people even when he isn't provoked. Close your eyes and randomly pick a Google Hangout video. Witness the toxic venom for yourselves.
Well, I think Mr. Fasano has had enough and he's sticking up for himself. I say good for Tim.

Video #2
Tim says he will release more of his thoughts or information for the rest of us to see. I have no idea what Tim has up his sleeve, but I wish he would get it all out. Be specific, and PLEASE, do not pull your videos down after a day. Leave them up there for all of us, newcomer and veteran.
Here is a link to Tim's channel. Fasano also has a blog, so you may want to visit for any more information.
This is a photo Dyer took last year, claiming he was hoaxed by people unknown to us. Rick has never mentioned any names and that's not his style. Personally I think he was trying to pass off another hoax but it was so weak, he gave up on it.

The documentary is only a week away. Rick is now down playing it saying the "haters" won't accept it as fact. Dyer also has a release date set for the "body" but he's only going to tell the people who dished out for the gold membership. Next in line are the people who dished out less money. Last but not least are the people who didn't waste a penny.

This entire hoax has been dragged out far too long and quite honestly it's become boring. Whatever happened to the pictures that were allegedly sent to Musky Allen? That was the only half way exciting thing that's come around in awhile.

Rick Dyer BIGFOOT HOAX ?

A friend of mine sent me a link to a video from someone who appears to be new to the scene. The uploader of the videos is interested in this story as much as the rest of us are and he's busy uploading at a furious pace. I counted 38 videos and I've probably watched 30 of those over the last couple of days.
There is an introduction, a nine part series and then he goes in to topography, waste management, campsites etc. Much of what this person is covering are things we already know, but I appreciate these videos for the fresh eyes and his zest for trying to include all possibilities. A lot of his work is new and original. It's work I have not seen anyone talk about until now.
Here is a link to his channel: townsendmedia

Dyer on Drugs?

I chose the last video because of the relevant content, not because Dyer was loopy on painkillers. I read a comment saying he had a couple of teeth pulled, so there you go.
Even though I've been through all Rick's (now removed) videos, I was able to catch him in at least three more conflicting statements because my eyes didn't glaze over. Thankfully "Chris" gives us rest breaks while he commentates on what we've watched.
If you're in to quick fix videos, these won't be up your alley. "Chris" seems very detail oriented so be patient. I for one enjoyed his videos.

Rick Dyer 2013 Bigfoot Hoax - In His Own Words!!!

This latest video comes to us from the bigfootpolice. Most of us are painfully aware of all of the contradictions and holes in Rick Dyer's dead Bigfoot story and bigfootpolice covers just one of those contradictions in the video.
Here is the description for the video:

"In an interview in Mar 2013, Rick Dyer states that what caused him to become serious was a Bigfoot sighting in 2009. But in Jan. 2010, Rick Dyer stated that there's no more proof for Bigfoot than there is for the tooth fairy. And now in 2013 he's claiming to have a Bigfoot body. Everything you need to know that he's hoaxing again is contained in these videos."

Visit bigfootpolice for more eye opening videos. For some reason Blogger could not find the original video, so I uploaded it to my channel.

Enjoy!

Shooting Bigfoot: Hot Docs Adds A New Sentence

There seems to be a renewed debate going on because someone at Hot Docs added a sentence to the end of their synopsis of 'Shooting Bigfoot'. FB/FB posted this to their page yesterday:

This is what the original Hot Docs overview had to say about the documentary:

“I don’t think an hour goes by in the day where I don’t think about Sasquatch,” divulges one aficionado. So begins Morgan Matthews’ rollicking foray into the obsessive, hoax-filled cult of Sasquatch. Using the in-the-trenches style of The Blair Witch Project, the film allows us to accompany the adventures of three Sasquatch search parties: socially awkward “master tracker” Ric Dyer; crotchety old guys Dallas and Wayne; and Tom Biscotti, perhaps the most devoted of the bunch, who has hunted Sasquatch unabatedly for 37 years. The teams tramp through the wooded unknown with tracking equipment and ample conviction in hand, the bipedal ape-like creature they seek seemingly just around every bend. As truth and fact tip into malarkey, nighttime hunts devolve into farcical displays of voodoo and comic stretches of the human imagination. A humorous look at perception gone off the rails, Shooting Bigfoot is a no-holds-barred plummet into folkloric lunacy. Justin Mah
Co-Presented with Toronto After Dark: Horror, Sci-Fi, Action & Cult Film Festival

Now we have a revised edition on the Hot Docs website.

“I don’t think an hour goes by in the day where I don’t think about Sasquatch,” divulges one aficionado. So begins Morgan Matthews’ rollicking foray into the obsessive, hoax-filled cult of Sasquatch. Using the in-the-trenches style of The Blair Witch Project, the film allows us to accompany the adventures of three Sasquatch search parties: renowned “master tracker” Rick Dyer; old friends Dallas and Wayne; and Tom Biscardi, perhaps the most devoted of the bunch, who has hunted Sasquatch unabatedly for 37 years. What starts as a humorous look at perception gone off the rails, descends into a dark mystery as things get out of control during a close encounter in the woods."

I noticed they dropped "no-holds-barred plummet into folkloric lunacy". I can only wonder why the folks at Hot Docs would alter their original overview. Maybe Matthews read it and asked for changes, who knows. The fact of the matter is this rewrite doesn't give us any more, or any less information about the documentary.
There is also some chatter going on about 'Shooting Bigfoot' being listed in the Science Fiction category. One person says there is no such category listed for the Film Festival. That much is true, but the documentary is being co-presented by Toronto After Dark, which is a  "Horror, Sci-Fi, Action & Cult Film Festival"
It's easy to see how some people got the two festivals or categories mixed up. Regardless of that, 'Shooting Bigfoot' is still being showcased in the Night Vision category, and that lines up with the co-presenters. All you need to do is visit Toronto After Dark's website to see they are genre specific.
Here is what T.A.D had to say on their Facebook page:

Hot Docs even uses the words "Cult Classics" on this page.

"Toronto, March 19, 2013 – Hot Docs is pleased to announce Nightvision will highlight future cult classics and showcase diverse creative approaches to filmmaking. Nightvision will turn the spotlight on the famous and infamous alike, including a group of idealists with a naked approach to helping the environment, rapping best friends Silibil n’ Brains, and creative force James Franco. It will give audiences a behind-the-scenes look at The National’s international tour, owners memorializing their pets, fanatic Bigfoot hunters, and a drug-fueled expedition in the Gabonese jungle. Each film in this program will have a late-night screening at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema."

Hot Docs also lists the films by interest on this page. I had a look on their page and I could only find the documentary listed in two of the categories.

So really nothing has changed. Keep in mind there are three other people in this documentary. Some people forget that fact.
I am kind of curious why there is no trailer for 'Shooting Bigfoot' though.
