AS PROMISED: So we all know that Musky Allen appeared in the circles of Bigfoot sometime in 2010. Someone pointed out November 2010. This would have been close to the time planning/pre-prduction, began on the Documentary which was scheduled initially to be wrapped up May of 2012. I contend Musky Allen before a single skeptical outburst and prior to shooting of the documentary, had already been in contact with Rick. Musky saw an opportunity for notoriety and a way to make money. He knew Ricks past hoax well and knew Ricks end game in 2008 of “This was just an innocent hoax” and “Of course bigfoot doesn’t exist”. Musky was not risking offending a true believer in Dyer when he approached him with this idea. What Musky saw, was a way to make real money this time, because a documentary could be used this time to unwittingly corroborate the event. Musky was the one who not only initiated this, but came up with all of the details. MUSKY IS THE INVESTOR.
The first step: Create a persona of a loud and vocal skeptic in the Bigfoot community. This would become the voice of truth to counter Rick’s dubious past when verification would be needed after the claim of a body. I recall that Musky quickly became known as the NUMBER ONE hater and skeptic on FBFB. Musky would have the whole time the documentary was being shot and up until months before the release to perfect this character as hater/skeptic and he did so very well. Tent video release: So as we can piece together now, the suit was purchased/made probably fairly early on in 2012. What we see in the tent video is the suit and the actor who would notoriously rush and attack Morgan Mathews. As in most convincing Bigfoot videos, this would be obscure enough to question authenticity, but clear enough to know what you were looking at was not a known and classified wild creature. These were seat of the pants moments in the hoax folks. They would have only ONE CHANCE, to make this part of the hoax work and as it turned out, luck was on their side. I believe all though I could be wrong, this is the first time a food item was deliberately used to lure a Bigfoot, so what we have here is an idea with little or no precedence. How else do you explain why a bigfoot is kneeling just outside your tent? Again Musky Allen. When the video first appeared anonymously delivered to FBFB, this was the teaser and the very beginning of the unleashing to the public this hoax. Someone also recalled Musky conversing on film production, so at the very least we may have knowledge of interest in such things. At this point Musky turns up the heat as the hating skeptic and lambastes FBFB for authenticating the video. He will continue this until the next step. KNOWN SKEPTIC TO VIEW THE BODY!!
It's a known fact that Rick and Musky were in cahoots with each other before Musky saw the body. Remember the outing of Shawn Evidence's I.D? That happened long before Musky's viewing. Musky admitted on Ricks show that he helped Rick expose Shawn's real name.
So Musky being the critic/skeptic/hater that he has become known for over the last few years is now the go to guy to prove to the world that we are not dealing with a man in a suit, hence another hoax. You must ask yourself the likelihood of this guy as this very vocal man who doesn’t believe a word of it to jump on a plane and waste his time? However this fits nicely into the hoax’s credibility factor, as non- credible as I believe it is. Obviously you are not going to be able to call in someone who has a background that could be relied on, such as an anthropologist like Jeff Muldrum, but at this point, all you need is a person who the BF community believes would never in a million years have Rick’s back or lie for him. What they have done now is made Rick’s claim a little more believable, especially in the minds of the hopeful. I was included in that group. This will also be the first timer we hear the term NDA. Another of Musky Allen’s creations to keep the hoax on track. This of course to the logical is where we have to scratch our head and wonder what is in this NDA that allows a man to turn around and give all of the details? It is a fall back tool for when the questions get too tough. It is a legal scapegoat to keep your mouth shut when it serves your best interest to zip it. All in all, the only thing I can think that could be in this NDA is the location of the facility of where the beast is being held. We should now talk about NDA’s and Investors as a brilliant tool for a hoax.
Not to get in on this, but here's some supporting thoughts for where we are now in GA's story: Matthews had filmed Dyer two or three times already. Photography was supposedly done. Why come to film him again?? What was the point?
It was just the two of them in the woods according to Dyer. No pesky crew to have to swear to secrecy.
And why did Dyer end up in Vegas? That was before the shooting even took place, and isn't it funny that the only place that would take the body was near Vegas and the investor was a Vegas casino??
The purpose of an NDA as well as investors to a good hoax is to make it seem that you are not in control when the heat gets turned up on you to provide proof. The hoaxer can at any time say “My hands are tied because the investors are still hard at it, wrapping up the final details”. This is where you know Rick was not the mastermind behind all of this. Rick’s first attempt had a gorilla suit filled with chicken and thought that would suffice a hands on observer. Rick’s initial attempt was of the extreme amateur type and Musky by taking the reins in the plotting was a much smarter cookie, with a way more developed plan. You cannot convince an already skeptical crowd without an extreme thought out plot behind the hoax. The logic of the believer, Ie, FBFB, Robert Lindsay, is that this is too thought out to be a hoax. In Robert Lindsay’s words “The greatest hoax ever in the world” if I am wrong. Rubbish I say and all it took was a little research, careful planning and a great deal of luck. The absolute biggest mistake in Musky’s plans were leaving Rick as the figure head and not keeping his mouth shut. A real investor, who had rights to a Bigfoot body, would have taken Rick out of the picture right from the start. The first NDA would be on Rick and his battleship mouth. If we all were waiting on the investors to do their thing, the last thing they would want is to tarnish their product, hence image with a crazy, off the wall red neck. (no offense to red-necks) You would not then allow people like car wrap guy to view the body. This is where Rick is trying to regain control of his hoax, I am sure to the very much anger of Musky Allen who so far has kept things slightly believable. I'm not buying your theory G.A. Rick was reading all the BF blogs long before Sept. 6th, 2012. I know this because he would frequently post on them (especially on "Bigfoot Evidence). He would rant and rave about Justin Smeja ("bear meat boy" as Dyer called him) hoaxing the shooting of a Bigfoot.
Melba Ketchum and The Sierra Kills were the hot topics in 2011 and 2012 on all the BF blogs. Melba and Justin Smeja's stories were heavily involved with NDA's, a media embargo, and investors who funded Melba's DNA study.
Shortly after Melba released her paper, the Ed Smith "Daisy in the Box" was heavily featured on all the blogs. That hoax also included investors, NDAs, and a secret storage facility. This was in Dec. of 2012. Less than a week after "Daisy in the Box" was busted, Dyer started in on his hoax, which included investors, NDAs, a media emabargo, etc... Gee, I wonder where Dyer got all that stuff from?
I think it played out like this. Matthews needed an ending for the documentary. Like the homeless man, Jeff, in San Antonio stated, the shooting was staged by Matthews. Dyer, in the meantime, created the "Tent Video" to try to hoax FBFB. Everybody was hoaxing FBFB. Have you seen some of those blobsquatch videos that they confirmed? Children were hoaxing FBFB with far worse footage than the "Tent Video". So, it wasn't too hard for Rick to pull it off.
Once FBFB was hooked, Dyer figured he would repeat the 2008 hoax. Don't forget, he never mentioned anything about killing a Bigfoot until FBFB was all set to confirm the "Tent Video".
I think Musky came in mid-hoax. He was trolling FBFB. Dyer and Musky probably contacted each other and hatched the plan about seeing the body, with FBFB's blessing. Musky was willing to lie for Dyer because this would be the ultimate troll on FBFB. Musky, like Dyer, has fun pissing off the BF community and harassing the believers.
Rick just made up the story as he went along. All his lies and material he lifted from the Bigfoot blogs (i.e. the NDAs, investors, media embargo, etc.) He figured if all the dupes visiting the blogs would believe that stuff from Melba and Ed Smith, than he could make it work too.
The story about the Sasquatch roaming the wood and killing children, Dyer got from author David Paulides, who wrote a book on the subject and who was a huge supporter of Melba. David Paulides was featured on the BF blogs quite frequently before the Dyer hoax.
Your over-thinking your conspiracy theory and making it too complicated. Dyer may be an uneducated redneck, but he's smart enough to pull this off on his own. He didn't need to be original or to have Musky master-mind all this. All he had to do was borrow everything for the hoax from the blogs that he read everyday. Shooting a Bigfoot, NDAs, postponing evidence, investors, a media embargo, top secret government facilities, Bigfoot kidnapping children, hoaxing FBFB.... Its obvious where it a all came from, considering that ALL this stuff was constantly plastered and being spewed from ALL the BF blogs throughout 2011 and 2012.
Just to add to the above post: Dyer was also a skeptic-turned-believer. Musky didn't play that card first... it was Dyer when he claimed he had a Bigfoot sighting in 2010 and he decided to change his evil ways. Dyer did this long before Musky saw the body.
My theory, which of course, that is all it is, says this started long ago. I also never said that Musky or Dyer invented the term NDA or investor. What I did say was that those two things are a part of a hoaxers tool kit. I am sure they have been used in prior hoaxes and I never claimed any of this was original. I am absolutely sure neither of the two pulled this out of their asses, but is part of the hoaxers handbook. (I wonder what the name of the store is where you can buy a hoaxers tool kit and matching handbag and is it next to a Sharper Image?) I do believe that Rick is not smart enough to pull this off all by himself and that I think that it is entirely possible that Musky was the guy calling the original shots. I could be wrong. It is just a theory, much like your own.
I think both are valid theories. I imagine we will find out soon, but there will be some finger pointing and the whole truth may never come out.
The bottom line is that this story, and literally every other BF story that comes out is a hoax. No one has ever proven anything. And yet the believers keep buying it hook line and sinker. It's as if the previous hoaxes never even happened.
It's almost tempting to come up with a hoax of your own just to further prove how ridiculous they are...
After reading the above posts, I remember from the Ed Smith hoax that Ed tried to get Jeff Meldrum to come and examine Daisy. Ed, unlike Musky and Dyer, actually contacted Meldrum who refused fly to Texas unless Ed produced some undeniable evidence like photos, etc.. It probably wasn't more than 3 or 4 weeks later that Musky and Dyer came up with the Meldrum angle too. A lot of people believed Ed at that point as long as Meldrum was going to be involved. I'm sure Dyer borrowed that from Ed.
Strange cases of Musky having on-air conflict with Dyer when Dyer goes rogue:
-When Musky tries to make nice with Racer X, who is keeping the investigative pressure on and needs to be distracted, Dyer goes ballistic
-When Musky does a picture that looks nothing like the tent video and Dyer tells him its no good and needs a lot more hair on the face. Musky may have been setting up the movie Bigfoot that was coming, which has less hair on the face than the tent creature. Dyer may have been annoyed that it didn't look like his tent video creature and people were noticing.
-When Dyer jeopardizes the relationship with FBFB with a video saying the body release is delayed, Musky tells him on the air that it's giving people "the wrong idea". What would he care what idea people got off some video if he wasn't invested in what people think of the story?
I haven't heard all of Dyers shows but remember those. Anyone think of more?
Next when Rick takes over, it is obvious. There have been some incredibly stupid claims and statements made by the Dyer camp and that is where, in my mind, it is obvious Rick is trying to take back some control from Musky. Car Wrap guy is a perfect example. To most of us when we hear “car wrap guy” was allowed to see the body at a moment’s notice we see logic fall right out the window. I think Musky Allen would have never agreed to this, but Rick with his youtube radio hard on, let this one out before Musky could react. I believe there have been many times, when Musky saw Rick’s involvement in this jeopardize Musky’s creative hoax. The latest one, postponing the release date and alienating Christopher Noels and Jack Barnes, hours before their appearance, even caused Musky to say something on his show about how that was a bad idea. (someone can find me that quote). The point I make here is that when the ridiculous hits the fan, that is a clear sign Rick has acted without the benefit of Musky Allen’s more believable approach. Got to go for a bit. People discuss and enjoy. I think I am really on to something here and even though it is speculation, it makes a lot of sense. I am not going to tell you these are facts. That is the bigfooters logic and I won't make such claims, however unlike statements like Bigfoot is a child eating killer, I have more proof than a dead corpse. Peace all.
By the way, to be clear, if this nobody, car wrap guy is not lying and saw anything, it was a fake body. I visited his FB page months ago and he has said he viewed the body in exchange for the work done to Rick's car. Which means they took the time to make a body as well as a suit. I believe someday, we will all get a chance to view the fake. At least photos of it. If they went to the trouble of creating a believable fake, they will be compelled to show what they have invested their money in. ANOTHER TWIST THAT I THINK IS CREDIBLE. I'll continue this later today on...... Why I believe Musky and Rick will come clean and why that may have been the plan all along.
Great work, GA. Remember Mathews has to be in on it too since Dyer said in writing he was there when the body went on the truck. No way Matthews was hoaxed into thinking the Bigfoot was real then they had a fake body to haul out the next day!
Matthews just agreed that he wouldn't make it obvious what happened in the movie so that it could still be a documentry about hoaxers as it would show a hoaxing just nothing to make it clear. He agreed to let Dyer tell the story how he wanted.
THAT's why they so laughably said they had agreed to release a Bigfoot body right AFTER a movie and not before, a total joke.
The whole thing was going to climax with the long exciting Bigfoot footage that Matthews let people think was real. When everybody started taking notice then they would have a bigger stage to announce their hoax on. But the footage was a dud and now Matthews is trying to keep a straight face while Musky has been trying to figure out a new way to end it.
That's why Dyer is going more rogue and Musky is sticking closer to the FBFB guys. Maybe if FBFB really did get footage late before they left Toronto, Musky had coordinated getting it shot and delivered to them, then he encouraged them to come show it to him so he could get all excited about how it looked just like the dead Bigfoot he saw and how it was the best footage since Patterson. He would help convince them yet again, hoping it would make the story break bigger than it had.
Then maybe he even made up the letter telling them to destroy the footage? Remember that Musky supposedly 'destroyed' the leaked photos of the body going on the truck. Now he was a party to 'destroying' the best footage since Patterson, probably because it wasn't really all that good but he convinced FBFB that it was. They may be that stupid and really would destroy files if they were told to.
'Hey guys I got this letter from Minnow that says we have to destroy these files. But I'll tell everybody what I seen, just like before. Don't worry'.
So Dyer going rogue started happening when the movie failed to deliver and he and Musky are fighting over how to end it...Musky wants to involve FBFB in some way, but Dyer just wants to make money off the ones who are still gullible.
At this point I don't think Morgan is in on it. I can be convinced otherwise, but I think at this point he was not. Unless you conclude that the abrasions to MM and the hospital were also a set up and faked. I think Rick and Musky used MM and this documentary as a vehicle to propel their hoax. Dyer is one sick puppy. That was obviously a drug he was wiping away on camera. My husband got me a gold membership several months ago and Rick kicked out a bunch of members who paid money to SEE something. There was never any proof or photos for his members. This man is imploding and I was actually relieved when he kicked me out for no reason. My husband can't believe his bad business ethics and if Dyer does have a body and tours with it he will meet enemies in every state. Dyer calling for the killing of all the Sasquatch made me ill. I guarantee his team and members are dwindling.
Makes for interesting discussion, but I don't see Musky as having any real *active controlling role* in Dyer's antics. He is a *go to guy* in my book, but not a central character in the evolution of this hoax. Just my 2 cents.

Whether he was in on it before or not Mathews is still party to the hoax. What happened after the 'shooting' ?? Dyer had a dead bigfoot there or he didn't. Mathews knows if its true one way or the other whether he was in on it before or decided to let them play it out after. But does it make sense that if he was banged up and wasnt expecting it that he wouldn't have put it in the film or commented about it? Why let it go unless you're part of it?
Morgan does not have to be a party to this hoax. He could have been and I think likely an unwittingly participant, but not involved. It may be that he believed from the beginning, he was being hoaxed by Rick and some stranger in a suit. I think Mathews not wanting to be involved and a little scared, more than likely packed up and got out without any further investigation. He neither confirmed or denied what went down and was probably more concerned he would be shot or even arrested from Rick firing his weapon so close to the stores and inside a homeless camp. I think fear motivated him to get out quick and not verify and you know Rick didn't want him there anymore.
GA the simple fact is that Morgan knows the truth.
He knows what was out there that day and will not say one way or another. If he was blasted by someone, he has no reason to protect a scam. It would be more of a joke.
I would bet that many have contacted him and will continue to do so in search of the truth. Also, if this does come out as a hoax, I think Morgan will have some explaining to do and I have to assume that this would negatively affect his career.
If by many you mean a half dozen, you are probably correct. There is approximately 29% of the population who believe in bigfoot and just a curious belief as in hmmm could be. The people that make what you might call the community is less than one percent of that population. Of those maybe 50 percent are even aware of the film. Of those maybe 1 percent even care and of those maybe a 100th of a percent of those would be inclined to contact him. This will never negatively impact his career. Before you knew about this film, did you know about anything else he did? The people who back him to make documentaries are only concerned with dollars and quality. His career is not centered around bigfoot and it is known this was a movie about bigfooters and their zaniness with a flash ending. The simple fact is whatever you can concoct as something that will negatively impact his career, it will only do so in the positive. Morgan is a documentary film maker period.
Somewhere in all of this is another movie. Dyer owns Lion Films but maybe Matthews is in on the next one as well. It is going to be all about how Dyer pulled the same stunt twice. His problem is that he can't get as many believers as he needed so he went out of his way with Team Tracker. He needs footage of people falling hook line and sinker and supporting him even when he does ridiculous things like piss on books or run around naked during an expedition. I believe the reveal was delayed because he needs more footage before the big stunt of showing the fake body then revealing it has all been a hoax yet again. Kind of like "Borat in Bigfootland", an over the top asshole who is smarter than all the stupid footers. I think Matthews has let it go on because he needs all publicity he can get for his movie. Even if it is a ambiguous ending. Come see my movie for yourself and decide if it is real or not. Robert Lindsay uses that fact that Matthews wouldn't be part of this because he is a movie director. Ironically, that is exactly why he would keep up the charade. The most damaging thing to a director/producer is a movie that doesn't sell not the credibility of the content.
No matter how you cut it MM knows if a BF was there or not..that's indisputable! Dyer claims it was shot dead at MM's feet. Now, you have MM saying in the post film interview.... when asked if he believed that BF exists...he answers>>>*WELL THAT'S A DIFFICULT QUESTION TO ANSWER....the world would be a better place IF BF exists*. What does that tell you right there? MM could have gone on to FILM the dead BF and he would have sold BILLIONS of tickets!!!....But instead, he decides to leave it a mystery in order to boost ticket sales???? .LOL..COME ON!!!
I contend that Musky Allen from the beginning may have planned for this to be revealed as a hoax. The money and motivation would come from writing a book, guest lectures, doing rounds on talk shows and possibly another documentary with the sole purpose to explain how people who want to believe, are easy targets in the hoaxing world. This, it will be explained, was a kind of real world science experiment, in where the goal was to show that not only can the hopeful believers be fooled, but possibly even a level headed documentary film maker making a film about the wacky and yes even hoaxing bigfoot populace. I don’t think you can lump Morgan Mathews in as a hoaxer in any event. This can have the effect of removing the hate that has built up on the skeptic’s side and gives a purpose and legitimacy to what they have done. The believers however will be all kinds of pissed, but they are in an extreme minority. That would be a truly amazing ending to what I have always believed was a pretty poorly run hoax once Rick took more control. If we remove the idea that the point was to defraud and confuse, to one of “this is the world we live in and gosh aren’t we all so gullible” this does become an innocent hoax. TT members who paid money were never given any contractual guarantee that they would be revealed a real bigfoot. They joined a BF discussion group, so no law was broken (Unless he goes through with forcing them to join the next expedition in order to remain members) (Go back a blog or two to see my ideas on that.) I think Musky's end game of this hoax was always to come clean. Know way they could pull it off without a real body as we all know. You can still hate Rick if this is true and there will be people that will never believe this was the original plan. No matter what is the truth in all of this, Rick is still an ignorant POS, and maybe, just maybe it puts a skip in Musky's step to be throwing Rick under the bus, when this is all said and done. If true another idea may be Rick was under the impression that the hoax would continue and Musky knew and planned all along that it would not. I wish there was a prize for whoever gets the closest to figuring this out before it ends.

Dyer is running out of time, and he knows it. I wouldn't put it past him for him to come out, and say the reason for delay is because of all the haters putting too much stress on him, leading him to a mental breakdown.
Not one credible person will jump on the ship of fools called Team Slacker. Team Slackers mission was to peddle to the true believers from day one, and amazingly he is even starting to lose some of them. I can't wait to see this ship sink, it is going to be one hell of a show.
I think you are giving these clowns too much credit. Dyer can claim he did this hoax, and his previous one to show the BF community is such, and such, but to Dick, it is all about the money. Why the hell would sensible people even give a known hoaxer with a past jacket including fraud the benefit of the doubt?

Dyer said that He was reading posts, and Musky made the comment "We really need more people Like Rick in the Bigfoot Community!" He meant that to be sarcastic, and a real Jab at Rick. Rick took offense to it, and Called Musky out on it. Rick thought he was the perfect Skeptic to see the Body. And Musky told about what He saw. Musky got bashed for it, and Left the scene for Months...I think this adds credibility, instead of Him being on Dyers show, rubbing it in all the time, he left because He saw it, got bashed, and just flat out Left. He is not an Investor at all. He didn't understand why an average Joe Like Him got to see the Body, and now Rick said a Delay? One of His Investors has to be Hank Williams Jr..He has never said anything, and that was the Rumor all along. I think the Casino never bought the Body, But He just said that, so He could go to each Casino and Have them bid against each other, and would sell it to the Highest Bidder...Seems Like none of them were interested! Now for MM and the Film ordeal! I believe the night of the Shooting (Yes I believe He shot a BF) That Rick was Camping out alone. Morgan and the Crew were at a Nearby Hotel. Rick put out the Ribs, and shot a BF! He calls and wakes Morgan up, and Morgan and the Crew show up. Morgan is Furious! First because He Didn't film it, and Second Rick Killed one. Morgan Flips, and Him and Dyer Duke it out!! After the Fight, someone comes up with the Idea to re-create what Happened. Morgan agrees, changes the name of the Film, and Since it was Sept, close to Halloween, they went and got a mask, re-created the "Real Incident" and said that a BF knocked Morgan down, and He's all beat up. This theory would explain a Lot! It explains why Morgan is Dodging questions. Morgan saw the Dead BF! He knows it's Real...But He also knows the Film is not real..That's also why we didn't get any additional stuff that Rick promised, there isn't any! I believe the Tent video is Real, and it is the one He shot....The still from the movie does not Look like the Tent video to me, Hence the Re-creation of the actual event. To be continued:
Well that's as good as my theory. Simply put, we don't know and most theories are good until we have some proof one way or another. My theory takes what I know about the events. What I know about human nature and the people involved and what I know about the timeline. Those people who think Morgan Mathews was hoaxing and is a bad man, really don't know much about how the world works and I am not going to try and convince you otherwise. I do think it is very Likely Muskys take on 2008 with the new and improved hoaxers handbag, rings true. It is also a theory, but one based off critical thinking and my judgement of the characters involved. I have no problem with DS theory other than a few things that this is the first time I have ever heard of them. We are here to discuss and it wouldn't be as fun if we all agreed with each other. However I do like it when you agree with me:) That doesn't make me right though.

GA, the problem with DS's theory is that he now claims to be 40/60 (which is still ridiculous, btw) and thus squarely in the "Dyer did not kill BF and does not have a body" column. Yet his theory says the exact opposite. Unless, of course, he still thinks Dyer killed a BF and just does not have the body because the MIB took it. In which case DS should be taken out back and put down.

Him fluctuating on his percentages has more to do with his frustration with this whole thing, than altering his belief that there is a body. I don't believe Rick shot a bigfoot and my theory reflects that. I think in fairness a percentage is not a horrible thing. I could say I 100% don't believe, but there has to be some tiny flicker of question somewhere or I wouldn't have the interest to write on this blog in the first place and neither would you. Why do you think Mathews would want to squash any buzz about his documentary, good, bad, or indifferent? You must believe this film has some great importance that the rest of the world does not. I just want to clarify that autopsy compound is not a long term solution for preserving a body. Compounds, and typical embalming methods, are used if a body will be sitting for a week or so before an autopsy can take place.
We still have no explanation as to how the supposed BF body has been preserved for close to a year now.
If He did shoot one, I'm sure a Partial (Arterial) Embalming was done ASAP, especially with Trauma. Embalming and Preservation would be first priority.
I am just going by what Dyer said. He said there was no embalming. And again, even if there was, typical embalming is meant to last for several days. Anything beyond that requires constant care and maintenance. They would literally have to hire an experienced team to maintain the body multiple times per week like they do with Lenin. What seems to make the movie's ending strange to people--and I haven't seen it--is that it's obviously not a real Bigfoot. Come on, what else would they think? Eh, I don't think it matters either way. Maybe MM did say he would not blow the whistle, or maybe Dyer and Co. assumed MM would not blow the whistle because this is the only part of the film that leaves some sort of mystery and will entice viewers to see it.

I really think he has sociopathic tendencies if you think of sociopathy on a spectrum. He's definitely not a Ted Bundy type, but highly grandiose, manipulative and exploiting nonetheless. I think his biggest problem is narcissism. His self esttem is quite fragile underneath his "I am the best tracker in the world" bit. Someone important in his past did him wrong and he's not dealing with it very well.
Narcissism is actually just a defense mechanism against damaged or low self esteem. I think grandiose exterior we're seeing is likely the result of manic depression, manic phase currently. Rick has a lot of mental health stuff going on right now - I think probably a mix of personality disorder and manic-depression.
While Dyer certainly has problems, I doubt seriously that he is a true sociopath. I think both Robert Lindsay and Racer X have both described him as a complicated person and I agree. He certainly needs some help.

Search YouTube for shooting bigfoot q & a. On part 1 at 7:15 minutes Morgan states he says what he thinks happened at the end of the movie. In the movie Morgan says "one can only assume I was attacked by a man in a suit" (or something like that), but he says "man in a suit". If Rick killed a bigfoot that night while it was attacking Morgan, Matthews would know 100% it was a real bigfoot, not think it was a man in a suit.

There is a question if Dyer and Matthews together faked the ending of the movie. That's what the homeless guy Jeff said happened in one of JR Dobb's Youtube videos. I think that is pretty unlikely, and at the time people were jumping on it simply because it put Dyer in a bad light. I think it more likely that it was done entirely by Dyer, and Matthews saw it just as an opportunity to end the film with a quasi mystery.

You've got to look at the facts. There is NO WAY Mathews doesn't know that this is real or fake for a million reasons. Does it really matter? My guess is to sell more views of the movie. The other title was just uninteresting and lame/amateur. Titles change all the time based on focus groups etc. DS once you get to see the movie, I can't wait to catch your opinion... Anyone have word when the general public can see it?
I will remain convinced that MM, at some point during filming, got on board with Dyer's idea for a hoax. By doing this, MM is in the clear no matter what the fallout might be from Dyer being discovered, because he can playfully say "Yes, it was a hoax, but that's what the whole documentary was about anyway." No harm, no foul on his part, and it was genius to do it this way, because it adds a level of mystery to the film that wasn't there before.

No doubt in my mind Dyer would have come out with Refer truck receipts if he had them. This way he could practically *prove* the story is legit without showing any proof of the body itself. After all, why would he use a refer truck for over a month and spend $30K (according to him) unless he had a dead body worthy of going through all that trouble and $$$? He was asked recently on his show via the chat room and he said he has them *handy* but the haters aren't going get to seem them. What a crock.
In Dyer's "drug/white powder" response video, he made sure to have the table in clear view and also made sure to place a noticeable amount of real salt on its surface.

The most damning part of the powder video wasn't even the powder itself. It was his dumbass reaction while trying to wipe it off and readjust the camera. Way to go, Slick Rick!! I'm beginning to think even Frank is smarter than him, and that's saying quite a bit.

The Investors claim this is the same body that was filmed by a small British documentary company by the name of Minnow Films and directed by a Mr. Morgan Mathews. When I consider whether Dyer has a body, I always return to the importance of being “first to market” with a specimen. If there was a real body, the investors would insist that the financial exploitation of the specimen begin before another group produced something that could diminish Hank’s value. One has to remember that there are far more people actively searching for and attempting to capture or kill a specimen than ever before. ReplyDeleteSo we all know that Musky Allen appeared in the circles of Bigfoot sometime in 2010. Someone pointed out November 2010. This would have been close to the time planning/pre-prduction, began on the Documentary which was scheduled initially to be wrapped up May of 2012. I contend Musky Allen before a single skeptical outburst and prior to shooting of the documentary, had already been in contact with Rick. Musky saw an opportunity for notoriety and a way to make money. He knew Ricks past hoax well and knew Ricks end game in 2008 of “This was just an innocent hoax” and “Of course bigfoot doesn’t exist”. Musky was not risking offending a true believer in Dyer when he approached him with this idea. What Musky saw, was a way to make real money this time, because a documentary could be used this time to unwittingly corroborate the event. Musky was the one who not only initiated this, but came up with all of the details.
MUSKY IS THE INVESTOR.

The first step: Create a persona of a loud and vocal skeptic in the Bigfoot community. This would become the voice of truth to counter Rick’s dubious past when verification would be needed after the claim of a body. I recall that Musky quickly became known as the NUMBER ONE hater and skeptic on FBFB. Musky would have the whole time the documentary was being shot and up until months before the release to perfect this character as hater/skeptic and he did so very well.
ReplyDeleteTent video release: So as we can piece together now, the suit was purchased/made probably fairly early on in 2012. What we see in the tent video is the suit and the actor who would notoriously rush and attack Morgan Mathews. As in most convincing Bigfoot videos, this would be obscure enough to question authenticity, but clear enough to know what you were looking at was not a known and classified wild creature. These were seat of the pants moments in the hoax folks. They would have only ONE CHANCE, to make this part of the hoax work and as it turned out, luck was on their side. I believe all though I could be wrong, this is the first time a food item was deliberately used to lure a Bigfoot, so what we have here is an idea with little or no precedence. How else do you explain why a bigfoot is kneeling just outside your tent? Again Musky Allen. When the video first appeared anonymously delivered to FBFB, this was the teaser and the very beginning of the unleashing to the public this hoax. Someone also recalled Musky conversing on film production, so at the very least we may have knowledge of interest in such things. At this point Musky turns up the heat as the hating skeptic and lambastes FBFB for authenticating the video. He will continue this until the next step.

ReplyDeleteIt's a known fact that Rick and Musky were in cahoots with each other before Musky saw the body. Remember the outing of Shawn Evidence's I.D? That happened long before Musky's viewing. Musky admitted on Ricks show that he helped Rick expose Shawn's real name.
ReplyDeleteSo Musky being the critic/skeptic/hater that he has become known for over the last few years is now the go to guy to prove to the world that we are not dealing with a man in a suit, hence another hoax. You must ask yourself the likelihood of this guy as this very vocal man who doesn’t believe a word of it to jump on a plane and waste his time? However this fits nicely into the hoax’s credibility factor, as non- credible as I believe it is. Obviously you are not going to be able to call in someone who has a background that could be relied on, such as an anthropologist like Jeff Muldrum, but at this point, all you need is a person who the BF community believes would never in a million years have Rick’s back or lie for him. What they have done now is made Rick’s claim a little more believable, especially in the minds of the hopeful. I was included in that group. This will also be the first timer we hear the term NDA. Another of Musky Allen’s creations to keep the hoax on track. This of course to the logical is where we have to scratch our head and wonder what is in this NDA that allows a man to turn around and give all of the details? It is a fall back tool for when the questions get too tough. It is a legal scapegoat to keep your mouth shut when it serves your best interest to zip it. All in all, the only thing I can think that could be in this NDA is the location of the facility of where the beast is being held. We should now talk about NDA’s and Investors as a brilliant tool for a hoax.

Not to get in on this, but here's some supporting thoughts for where we are now in GA's story: Matthews had filmed Dyer two or three times already. Photography was supposedly done. Why come to film him again?? What was the point?
ReplyDeleteIt was just the two of them in the woods according to Dyer. No pesky crew to have to swear to secrecy.
And why did Dyer end up in Vegas? That was before the shooting even took place, and isn't it funny that the only place that would take the body was near Vegas and the investor was a Vegas casino??
The purpose of an NDA as well as investors to a good hoax is to make it seem that you are not in control when the heat gets turned up on you to provide proof. The hoaxer can at any time say “My hands are tied because the investors are still hard at it, wrapping up the final details”. This is where you know Rick was not the mastermind behind all of this. Rick’s first attempt had a gorilla suit filled with chicken and thought that would suffice a hands on observer. Rick’s initial attempt was of the extreme amateur type and Musky by taking the reins in the plotting was a much smarter cookie, with a way more developed plan. You cannot convince an already skeptical crowd without an extreme thought out plot behind the hoax.
ReplyDeleteThe logic of the believer, Ie, FBFB, Robert Lindsay, is that this is too thought out to be a hoax. In Robert Lindsay’s words “The greatest hoax ever in the world” if I am wrong. Rubbish I say and all it took was a little research, careful planning and a great deal of luck. The absolute biggest mistake in Musky’s plans were leaving Rick as the figure head and not keeping his mouth shut. A real investor, who had rights to a Bigfoot body, would have taken Rick out of the picture right from the start. The first NDA would be on Rick and his battleship mouth. If we all were waiting on the investors to do their thing, the last thing they would want is to tarnish their product, hence image with a crazy, off the wall red neck. (no offense to red-necks) You would not then allow people like car wrap guy to view the body. This is where Rick is trying to regain control of his hoax, I am sure to the very much anger of Musky Allen who so far has kept things slightly believable.

I'm not buying your theory G.A. Rick was reading all the BF blogs long before Sept. 6th, 2012. I know this because he would frequently post on them (especially on "Bigfoot Evidence). He would rant and rave about Justin Smeja ("bear meat boy" as Dyer called him) hoaxing the shooting of a Bigfoot.
DeleteMelba Ketchum and The Sierra Kills were the hot topics in 2011 and 2012 on all the BF blogs. Melba and Justin Smeja's stories were heavily involved with NDA's, a media embargo, and investors who funded Melba's DNA study.
Shortly after Melba released her paper, the Ed Smith "Daisy in the Box" was heavily featured on all the blogs. That hoax also included investors, NDAs, and a secret storage facility. This was in Dec. of 2012. Less than a week after "Daisy in the Box" was busted, Dyer started in on his hoax, which included investors, NDAs, a media emabargo, etc... Gee, I wonder where Dyer got all that stuff from?
I think it played out like this. Matthews needed an ending for the documentary. Like the homeless man, Jeff, in San Antonio stated, the shooting was staged by Matthews. Dyer, in the meantime, created the "Tent Video" to try to hoax FBFB. Everybody was hoaxing FBFB. Have you seen some of those blobsquatch videos that they confirmed? Children were hoaxing FBFB with far worse footage than the "Tent Video". So, it wasn't too hard for Rick to pull it off.
Once FBFB was hooked, Dyer figured he would repeat the 2008 hoax. Don't forget, he never mentioned anything about killing a Bigfoot until FBFB was all set to confirm the "Tent Video".
I think Musky came in mid-hoax. He was trolling FBFB. Dyer and Musky probably contacted each other and hatched the plan about seeing the body, with FBFB's blessing. Musky was willing to lie for Dyer because this would be the ultimate troll on FBFB. Musky, like Dyer, has fun pissing off the BF community and harassing the believers.
Rick just made up the story as he went along. All his lies and material he lifted from the Bigfoot blogs (i.e. the NDAs, investors, media embargo, etc.) He figured if all the dupes visiting the blogs would believe that stuff from Melba and Ed Smith, than he could make it work too.
The story about the Sasquatch roaming the wood and killing children, Dyer got from author David Paulides, who wrote a book on the subject and who was a huge supporter of Melba. David Paulides was featured on the BF blogs quite frequently before the Dyer hoax.
Your over-thinking your conspiracy theory and making it too complicated. Dyer may be an uneducated redneck, but he's smart enough to pull this off on his own. He didn't need to be original or to have Musky master-mind all this. All he had to do was borrow everything for the hoax from the blogs that he read everyday. Shooting a Bigfoot, NDAs, postponing evidence, investors, a media embargo, top secret government facilities, Bigfoot kidnapping children, hoaxing FBFB.... Its obvious where it a all came from, considering that ALL this stuff was constantly plastered and being spewed from ALL the BF blogs throughout 2011 and 2012.
Just to add to the above post: Dyer was also a skeptic-turned-believer. Musky didn't play that card first... it was Dyer when he claimed he had a Bigfoot sighting in 2010 and he decided to change his evil ways. Dyer did this long before Musky saw the body.

What I did say was that those two things are a part of a hoaxers tool kit. I am sure they have been used in prior hoaxes and I never claimed any of this was original. I am absolutely sure neither of the two pulled this out of their asses, but is part of the hoaxers handbook. (I wonder what the name of the store is where you can buy a hoaxers tool kit and matching handbag and is it next to a Sharper Image?) I do believe that Rick is not smart enough to pull this off all by himself and that I think that it is entirely possible that Musky was the guy calling the original shots. I could be wrong. It is just a theory, much like your own.

DeleteThe bottom line is that this story, and literally every other BF story that comes out is a hoax. No one has ever proven anything. And yet the believers keep buying it hook line and sinker. It's as if the previous hoaxes never even happened.
It's almost tempting to come up with a hoax of your own just to further prove how ridiculous they are...
After reading the above posts, I remember from the Ed Smith hoax that Ed tried to get Jeff Meldrum to come and examine Daisy. Ed, unlike Musky and Dyer, actually contacted Meldrum who refused fly to Texas unless Ed produced some undeniable evidence like photos, etc.. It probably wasn't more than 3 or 4 weeks later that Musky and Dyer came up with the Meldrum angle too. A lot of people believed Ed at that point as long as Meldrum was going to be involved. I'm sure Dyer borrowed that from Ed.

Strange cases of Musky having on-air conflict with Dyer when Dyer goes rogue:

-When Musky does a picture that looks nothing like the tent video and Dyer tells him its no good and needs a lot more hair on the face. Musky may have been setting up the movie Bigfoot that was coming, which has less hair on the face than the tent creature. Dyer may have been annoyed that it didn't look like his tent video creature and people were noticing.
-When Dyer jeopardizes the relationship with FBFB with a video saying the body release is delayed, Musky tells him on the air that it's giving people "the wrong idea". What would he care what idea people got off some video if he wasn't invested in what people think of the story?
I haven't heard all of Dyers shows but remember those. Anyone think of more?

ReplyDeleteThere have been some incredibly stupid claims and statements made by the Dyer camp and that is where, in my mind, it is obvious Rick is trying to take back some control from Musky. Car Wrap guy is a perfect example. To most of us when we hear “car wrap guy” was allowed to see the body at a moment’s notice we see logic fall right out the window. I think Musky Allen would have never agreed to this, but Rick with his youtube radio hard on, let this one out before Musky could react. I believe there have been many times, when Musky saw Rick’s involvement in this jeopardize Musky’s creative hoax. The latest one, postponing the release date and alienating Christopher Noels and Jack Barnes, hours before their appearance, even caused Musky to say something on his show about how that was a bad idea. (someone can find me that quote). The point I make here is that when the ridiculous hits the fan, that is a clear sign Rick has acted without the benefit of Musky Allen’s more believable approach.

By the way, to be clear, if this nobody, car wrap guy is not lying and saw anything, it was a fake body. I visited his FB page months ago and he has said he viewed the body in exchange for the work done to Rick's car. Which means they took the time to make a body as well as a suit. I believe someday, we will all get a chance to view the fake. At least photos of it. If they went to the trouble of creating a believable fake, they will be compelled to show what they have invested their money in.

Great work, GA. Remember Mathews has to be in on it too since Dyer said in writing he was there when the body went on the truck. No way Matthews was hoaxed into thinking the Bigfoot was real then they had a fake body to haul out the next day!
ReplyDeleteMatthews just agreed that he wouldn't make it obvious what happened in the movie so that it could still be a documentry about hoaxers as it would show a hoaxing just nothing to make it clear. He agreed to let Dyer tell the story how he wanted.
THAT's why they so laughably said they had agreed to release a Bigfoot body right AFTER a movie and not before, a total joke.
The whole thing was going to climax with the long exciting Bigfoot footage that Matthews let people think was real. When everybody started taking notice then they would have a bigger stage to announce their hoax on. But the footage was a dud and now Matthews is trying to keep a straight face while Musky has been trying to figure out a new way to end it.
That's why Dyer is going more rogue and Musky is sticking closer to the FBFB guys. Maybe if FBFB really did get footage late before they left Toronto, Musky had coordinated getting it shot and delivered to them, then he encouraged them to come show it to him so he could get all excited about how it looked just like the dead Bigfoot he saw and how it was the best footage since Patterson. He would help convince them yet again, hoping it would make the story break bigger than it had.
Then maybe he even made up the letter telling them to destroy the footage? Remember that Musky supposedly 'destroyed' the leaked photos of the body going on the truck. Now he was a party to 'destroying' the best footage since Patterson, probably because it wasn't really all that good but he convinced FBFB that it was. They may be that stupid and really would destroy files if they were told to.
'Hey guys I got this letter from Minnow that says we have to destroy these files. But I'll tell everybody what I seen, just like before. Don't worry'.
So Dyer going rogue started happening when the movie failed to deliver and he and Musky are fighting over how to end it...Musky wants to involve FBFB in some way, but Dyer just wants to make money off the ones who are still gullible.
At this point I don't think Morgan is in on it. I can be convinced otherwise, but I think at this point he was not. Unless you conclude that the abrasions to MM and the hospital were also a set up and faked. I think Rick and Musky used MM and this documentary as a vehicle to propel their hoax. I could be wrong, but I don't buy that now. Thanks though for your thoughts.

Dyer is one sick puppy. That was obviously a drug he was wiping away on camera. My husband got me a gold membership several months ago and Rick kicked out a bunch of members who paid money to SEE something. There was never any proof or photos for his members. This man is imploding and I was actually relieved when he kicked me out for no reason. My husband can't believe his bad business ethics and if Dyer does have a body and tours with it he will meet enemies in every state. Dyer calling for the killing of all the Sasquatch made me ill. I guarantee his team and members are dwindling.

Whether he was in on it before or not Mathews is still party to the hoax. What happened after the 'shooting' ?? Dyer had a dead bigfoot there or he didn't. Mathews knows if its true one way or the other whether he was in on it before or decided to let them play it out after. But does it make sense that if he was banged up and wasnt expecting it that he wouldn't have put it in the film or commented about it? Why let it go unless you're part of it?

It may be that he believed from the beginning, he was being hoaxed by Rick and some stranger in a suit. I think Mathews not wanting to be involved and a little scared, more than likely packed up and got out without any further investigation. He neither confirmed or denied what went down and was probably more concerned he would be shot or even arrested from Rick firing his weapon so close to the stores and inside a homeless camp. I think fear motivated him to get out quick and not verify and you know Rick didn't want him there anymore.

I would bet that many have contacted him and will continue to do so in search of the truth. Also, if this does come out as a hoax, I think Morgan will have some explaining to do and I have to assume that this would negatively affect his career.
If by many you mean a half dozen, you are probably correct. There is approximately 29% of the population who believe in bigfoot and just a curious belief as in hmmm could be. The people that make what you might call the community is less than one percent of that population. Of those maybe 50 percent are even aware of the film. Of those maybe 1 percent even care and of those maybe a 100th of a percent of those would be inclined to contact him. This will never negatively impact his career. Before you knew about this film, did you know about anything else he did? The people who back him to make documentaries are only concerned with dollars and quality. His career is not centered around bigfoot and it is known this was a movie about bigfooters and their zaniness with a flash ending. The simple fact is whatever you can concoct as something that will negatively impact his career, it will only do so in the positive. Morgan is a documentary film maker period.

Somewhere in all of this is another movie. Dyer owns Lion Films but maybe Matthews is in on the next one as well. It is going to be all about how Dyer pulled the same stunt twice. His problem is that he can't get as many believers as he needed so he went out of his way with Team Tracker. He needs footage of people falling hook line and sinker and supporting him even when he does ridiculous things like piss on books or run around naked during an expedition. I believe the reveal was delayed because he needs more footage before the big stunt of showing the fake body then revealing it has all been a hoax yet again. Kind of like "Borat in Bigfootland", an over the top asshole who is smarter than all the stupid footers. I think Matthews has let it go on because he needs all publicity he can get for his movie. Even if it is a ambiguous ending. Come see my movie for yourself and decide if it is real or not. Robert Lindsay uses that fact that Matthews wouldn't be part of this because he is a movie director. Ironically, that is exactly why he would keep up the charade. The most damaging thing to a director/producer is a movie that doesn't sell not the credibility of the content.

I contend that Musky Allen from the beginning may have planned for this to be revealed as a hoax. The money and motivation would come from writing a book, guest lectures, doing rounds on talk shows and possibly another documentary with the sole purpose to explain how people who want to believe, are easy targets in the hoaxing world. This, it will be explained, was a kind of real world science experiment, in where the goal was to show that not only can the hopeful believers be fooled, but possibly even a level headed documentary film maker making a film about the wacky and yes even hoaxing bigfoot populace. I don’t think you can lump Morgan Mathews in as a hoaxer in any event. This can have the effect of removing the hate that has built up on the skeptic’s side and gives a purpose and legitimacy to what they have done. The believers however will be all kinds of pissed, but they are in an extreme minority. That would be a truly amazing ending to what I have always believed was a pretty poorly run hoax once Rick took more control. If we remove the idea that the point was to defraud and confuse, to one of “this is the world we live in and gosh aren’t we all so gullible” this does become an innocent hoax. TT members who paid money were never given any contractual guarantee that they would be revealed a real bigfoot. They joined a BF discussion group, so no law was broken (Unless he goes through with forcing them to join the next expedition in order to remain members) (Go back a blog or two to see my ideas on that.) I think Musky's end game of this hoax was always to come clean. Know way they could pull it off without a real body as we all know. You can still hate Rick if this is true and there will be people that will never believe this was the original plan. No matter what is the truth in all of this, Rick is still an ignorant POS, and maybe, just maybe it puts a skip in Musky's step to be throwing Rick under the bus, when this is all said and done. If true another idea may be Rick was under the impression that the hoax would continue and Musky knew and planned all along that it would not.

Rick took offense to it, and Called Musky out on it. Rick thought he was the perfect Skeptic to see the Body. And Musky told about what He saw. Musky got bashed for it, and Left the scene for Months...I think this adds credibility, instead of Him being on Dyers show, rubbing it in all the time, he left because He saw it, got bashed, and just flat out Left. He is not an Investor at all. He didn't understand why an average Joe Like Him got to see the Body, and now Rick said a Delay? One of His Investors has to be Hank Williams Jr..He has never said anything, and that was the Rumor all along.

Now for MM and the Film ordeal!
I believe the night of the Shooting (Yes I believe He shot a BF) That Rick was Camping out alone. Morgan and the Crew were at a Nearby Hotel. Rick put out the Ribs, and shot a BF! He calls and wakes Morgan up, and Morgan and the Crew show up. Morgan is Furious! First because He Didn't film it, and Second Rick Killed one. Morgan Flips, and Him and Dyer Duke it out!! After the Fight, someone comes up with the Idea to re-create what Happened. Morgan agrees, changes the name of the Film, and Since it was Sept, close to Halloween, they went and got a mask, re-created the "Real Incident" and said that a BF knocked Morgan down, and He's all beat up. This theory would explain a Lot! It explains why Morgan is Dodging questions. Morgan saw the Dead BF! He knows it's Real...But He also knows the Film is not real..That's also why we didn't get any additional stuff that Rick promised, there isn't any! I believe the Tent video is Real, and it is the one He shot....The still from the movie does not Look like the Tent video to me, Hence the Re-creation of the actual event.

DeleteWell that's as good as my theory. Simply put, we don't know and most theories are good until we have some proof one way or another. My theory takes what I know about the events. What I know about human nature and the people involved and what I know about the timeline. Those people who think Morgan Mathews was hoaxing and is a bad man, really don't know much about how the world works and I am not going to try and convince you otherwise. I do think it is very Likely Muskys take on 2008 with the new and improved hoaxers handbag, rings true. It is also a theory, but one based off critical thinking and my judgement of the characters involved. I have no problem with DS theory other than a few things that this is the first time I have ever heard of them. We are here to discuss and it wouldn't be as fun if we all agreed with each other. GA, the problem with DS's theory is that he now claims to be 40/60 (which is still ridiculous, btw) and thus squarely in the "Dyer did not kill BF and does not have a body" column. Yet his theory says the exact opposite. Unless, of course, he still thinks Dyer killed a BF and just does not have the body because the MIB took it. In which case DS should be taken out back and put down.

I think in fairness a percentage is not a horrible thing. I could say I 100% don't believe, but there has to be some tiny flicker of question somewhere or I wouldn't have the interest to write on this blog in the first place and neither would you. As a controversial documentary there will never be a complete consensus. There will be those who think they are seeing a real bigfoot and others who believe it is a fake. It is in Morgan Mathews best interest to keep that conversation going forever. If like you want Mathews was to come out and say, yup there is a hoax at the end of this movie, why would you go and see it? That's almost tantamount to a director giving away the ending of any movie fictional or otherwise. Anything beyond that requires constant care and maintenance. They would literally have to hire an experienced team to maintain the body multiple times per week like they do with Lenin. He is so empty inside and desparate for attention that he will do literally anything to get people to see him. He fantasizes about being a hero but knows that even if he did by some miracle of luck shoot a bigfoot (which he didn't of course) no one really cares about him, only his imaginary bigfoot. He clearly lacks self-respect and respect for others as evidenced by his behavior towards you and many others who have done nothing more than ask intelligent questions or make astute observations. He trashes people who had his back, stood by him, and took verbal bullets defending him. In short, Rick is a very sick and deeply self serving thing who is not capable of true friendship or caring. Maturity wise, I don't think he ever developed passed the 5th grade, at best. I really think he is currently manic (think Charlie Sheen, "winning" but really losing) and also severely personality disordered - narcisstic, antisocial, with sociopathic tendencies. DeleteI really think he has sociopathic tendencies if you think of sociopathy on a spectrum. He's definitely not a Ted Bundy type, but highly grandiose, manipulative and exploiting nonetheless. In the movie Morgan says "one can only assume I was attacked by a man in a suit" (or something like that), but he says "man in a suit". If Rick killed a bigfoot that night while it was attacking Morgan, Matthews would know 100% it was a real bigfoot, not think it was a man in a suit.

There is a question if Dyer and Matthews together faked the ending of the movie. That's what the homeless guy Jeff said happened in one of JR Dobb's Youtube videos. I think that is pretty unlikely, and at the time people were jumping on it simply because it put Dyer in a bad light. I think it more likely that it was done entirely by Dyer, and Matthews saw it just as an opportunity to end the film with a quasi mystery.

Does it really matter? My guess is to sell more views of the movie. The other title was just uninteresting and lame/amateur. By doing this, MM is in the clear no matter what the fallout might be from Dyer being discovered, because he can playfully say "Yes, it was a hoax, but that's what the whole documentary was about anyway." No harm, no foul on his part, and it was genius to do it this way, because it adds a level of mystery to the film that wasn't there before.

When I consider whether Dyer has a body, I always return to the importance of being “first to market” with a specimen. If there was a real body, the investors would insist that the financial exploitation of the specimen begin before another group produced something that could diminish Hank’s value.
