'I Shot Bigfoot': An extended Review of The Story From Two Peas In A Pod

"We discussed last night about doing a Book review, today. Me and Sasquai, I have not done any big research or set up a plan for this, just going to wing it on my part and hopefully show several inconsistancies that was either not mentioned or over looked. It is my belief by doing this it may open some eyes to a few things, generate some debate and also allow for future inconsistancies to be seen. There are many out there and if we over look one or between the two of us miss something, we can always come back and discuss it here. I have no plans in reading the book to anyone or going over in detail anything specific about the parties involved in the book. I will tell you this up front, David did a fine job putting it on paper, I think if he had a little more background in Bigfoot he would of had more opportunities to ask some questions. As a book goes if I had no knowledge of any of this, I would think of it as a good read, but soon as i visited the website of the person the book is about i would immidiately see it for what it is."

This is the result of our review of Rick's story. The goal was not to review the book itself, the purpose was to point out inconsistencies in the story as told by Rick Dyer.It would be virtually impossible for Dyer to refute any of this because the words come directly from Rick Dyer himself. We stuck exclusively with facts.

  2. Wow, so the guy who helped "out" Racer X is a BFF now? Daz may be speaking the truth, but the guy is way to unpredictable for me to put much faith in him. I think he quit and rejoined Dyer two, if not three times. I would not turn my back on the guy for a second.

  3. New here, but in the Bigfoot circles I hang out in there are a LOT of very VERY angry people that want to get payback against Dyer for what he has done to literally destroy the Bigfoot community. The reputation for hoaxes was bad before, but everyone agrees this one went way to far and something has to be done about that.

  4. Was sent here from Facebook link- a lot of people in the community are passing out links to your website. Please keep up the good work- maybe if we are lucky and do something we can push this Dyer guy out of our community for good! We don't need anymore scammers like this guy!

  5. Wow this guy is really evil. I hope all those people who he scammed money from get their money back. People on Reddit are saying he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from people....what a douche

  6. I wonder if Ricks members know in their hearts that they are being taken for their money, a hoax, and their integrity>? I mean deep inside they must I mean they MUST know by know this is a massive hoax? There are so many angry people in the community and almost nobody defending Rick anymore that even they must know by now they are being conned?
As far as con-men go Rick has done a very good job. It makes you wonder what other cons he is running on the side.. well besides the website, the memberships, the claims, the book, a movie jeez. Most con-men try to keep their cons on the down-low because they otherwise get caught if dealing with more than a few people.

  7. Someone on Reddit started a petition for this to be investigated, but someone else said the FBI is already checking into things?

  8. Dyer needs to exit the world of Bigfoot permanently. He has left an irremovable stain on the world of Bigfoot. In a scientific area where so many honest people are trying so hard to bring reputable science and knowledge to the table guys like this destroy everything so many are working so hard for.
Rick needs to come forward asap and confess his hoax.

  9. As I mentioned before, I am an active platinum member with Team Tracker and I know its a hoax. I have been talking to other members and there is a real feeling of realization that seems to be sweeping over many. Don't get me wrong, some people are conned hook line and sinker, but there are definitely more than a few starting to seriously feel ripped off and at least starting to wonder if they are being taken for a ride. It sure is interesting to watch people slowly wake up!
Like I said before this shit storm is about a category 2 right now and still increasing! I can hardly wait to see what happens in the weeks to come because this is going to be big!

  10. Anyone else notice Rick seems to know the gig is up? He has closed memberships, his main website is gone, FBFB is done and he just announced that this coming radio show will be his last one. I think he must finally be starting to wrap things up now that the money has stopped flowing. Surely he knows he will be a forever shunned in the community after this.

  16. You all seriously don't think he will reveal some sort of "body"??? C'mon...think about it. There are companies that can make life-like anything nowadays. I bet that's what he reveals and goes on tour with. But all the other stuff, the "tests", DNA and whatnot? It will never, ever appear. It will just a circus sideshow hawked by the worst of the snake oil salesmen ever to taint the world of bigfooting.

    1. You might be right about the photos for that; however, there is NO CHANCE that he will go on tour with a fake body. That would get shot down so bad by everyone and there brother as a fake! I mean his reputation is MUD already as a massive hoaxer, much worse than it was in 2008. I mean he single handed managed to piss off just about everyone in the bigfoot community- not only that but there are websites, blogs, Reddit posts etc all pointing as to how much of a scam artist he is. If he was to ever go on tour any reporter to do a simple google search will come up with TONS of stuff on the internet linking fraud to Rick Dyer. Basically he is ruined, and still continuing to ruin himself more and more everyday at this point.

Don't they realize that when the shit REALLY hits the fan that its going to bring everyone down around Rick also? Those guys will be implicated as co-conspirators working closely with him.
If Dallas and Wayne have any friends on here, perhaps you should show them these comments (especially this one)and this website so they have a heads up to the kind of shitstorm they are in for when they associate themselves as part of Ricks hoax crusade and endeavors.

  19. Any members looking for refunds from Team Tracker for feeling Hoaxed I strongly suggest you contact Steve Kulls:

    stopscam@squatchdetective.com

Steve has been organizing with the FBI a grouping of members who want their money back (don't go to Rick for a refund)instead contact the email above where Steve is working with the FBI on behalf of all the hundreds jilted and conned members for all the loss, psychological hardship and straight up con that happened to us.
You will get your money back and then some AND Rick will see some real justice. Again DO NOT ASK FOR REFUND AND LEAVE- contact Steve at the email above.

    1. I don't think Steve has actually has contacted the FBI yet, or if he has it was just recently. So far, I doubt seriously that there are hundreds of persons who have felt that they have been ripped off. Depending on how things continue to go though, I suppose it's possible.

    2. Bigfeet,
Not asking for a Refund and then claiming fraud is Illegal. So your basically asking Steve to put in false claims of fraud? Nice move BigFeet. So now that your comment has been I am sure Screen shot and saved by team tracker members, your encouragement of committing fraud yourself will be called into any legal action against Rick. People like Racer X here will also be associated to it since your comment was on his blog.
I also suggest you look at "pay pals" policy on refunds in regards to non-tangible Products.
Racer X posted a video that was given to Gold Members, even though it was not anything major it shows that Gold Members did get a video before the public. So one can not claim fraud. He made good on his deal. Steve Kull's knows this. This is why he elected to back off of Rick as long as Rick backs off from him.

  22. Racer X,

I suggest you and Daz actually look at the street level view of the "Home Depot" because in the south west corner of the shopping area where that "Home Depot" is located is a "Peter Piper Pizza". guess what that has? Yes it has dumpster near the woods. Seriously have you all gone to "Home Depot" stories at all. The one by me has a Hot Dog/Burger joint attached to the building. This place has a dumpster behind the "Home Depot". Your discussing the most stupid thing. The "Home Depot" is a better landmark for people to see where it is. Seriously your getting goofy with your nit picking on everything.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You are trying to debunk this topic because some pizza place has a dumpster? Rick never said "Peter Piper Pizza", he has always said "behind Home Depot".
I notice you have not brought up the many other valid talking points showing Rick has changed his story.
If you wish to deny the inconsistencies, that is your choice.
You are grasping at straws and your argument lacks any bearing on the story that Rick Dyer has told.
Seriously, you're making stuff up in order to justify your belief in Rick Dyer.

    2. Racer X,
I would agree with the poster above.
You are being nit-picky about where the dumpster is.
It could be located behind the Pizza Place as well as behind the home depot. Your trying to pick apart every little thing. Depending on what kind of dumpster it may have been on rollers.
I am sure you are always very specific when giving information. So in a strip mall if there were several small stores and 1 big chain store how would you describe the area to give directions. I think most people will name the big name store first its easier to recognize.

I am curious what do you see as the Specific inconsistencies in what rick says. Perhaps you can make a post listing them out. With your evidence as to where you find them. I not talking about "I heard rick say this" but a link to the actual words he uses and how they change. This should make for an interesting post if you do to sum up your reasons in 1 post why you don't believe him based on evidence.

      Mr. Nancy

    3. Mr. Nancy, the story Rick has told is on many of his blog talk radio shows. The story as told in the book differ from the verbal narrative as told by Rick.
I can piece together videos but I am not allowed to post the book. I can only take small quotes.
The specific inconsistencies are clearly stated in the post.
Rick said "behind the Home Depot", he was very clear on that.
A call was made to that very Home Depot and there is a compactor but no dumpster. There has never been a dumpster behind the Home Depot.
If you aren't familiar with Rick's story feel free to listen to all of his BTR shows.
I will see if there is a way I can put a post together but the book is crucial to pointing out the discrepancies.

      Delete
    4. Are you 100% positive that that home depot did not have a regular Dumpster for regular trash?
I went by the "Loews" and the "home depot" this morning and they do have a Local trash dumpster in the back of both along with the other compactors for other material.

      http://www.homedepotsucks.com/horror.htm

"I can't say much because of my situation. I was just fired from HD because I asked for 2 items going into the dunpster - I was told I could have them, but true to form everyone recanted their permission after the fact. Those items consisted of 2 strips of plexiglass and 6 eight inch strips of shelving the customer didn't want. More plastic to the landfill. Well here is the rest of it! Everyday I see more and more wood, be it oak, mahogany, pine, etc going into our dumpster. They won't give it to poor people. "

So perhapse they do have dumpsters?

      Mr. Nancy

      Delete
    5. I just got off the phone with Jeff, the operational manager at the "Homeless Depot" He said there was not an open dumpster behind the store. The store has always had the compactor that is attached to the store that Daz has pointed out. He did say that some of the stores in the strip mall have open dumpsters that were emptied routinely, but that none were located anywhere behind the Homeless Depot.

      Delete
    6. Well thank you for making that call.
Confirmed other stores in the area have a dumpsters.
Home Depot is most likely the big name store in the that area?
The 911 call said in the area that Bigfoot was in a dumpster as well.
I don't see why your all holding to the exact words that Rick says you all say he lies anyway. I sure many people would have referred to the dumpster behind Home Depot instead of the other places.
This still is not any proof of a hoax. Just to me shows you all are being nit picky I hope you are just as picky with others claims.
I guess in the bigfoot community you need to be perfectly clear when you are saying things about sightings and such.

    7. You are well within your rights as a human being to believe anything Rick tells you.

    8. Mr. Nancy, give it up. You're grasping at straws. Yes we are being nit picky. We are looking at every angle, just as we have done since back in December 2012. Jeff said there were no open dumpsters anywhere behind the Home Depot near the woods. I asked specifically. Dyeria has made an extrodinary claim. That claim requires extrodinary proof. He has not provided that proof. We can not prove irrefutably that it is a hoax. We can only present the inconsistencies and lies he has told since his eruption onto the BF scene back in 2008. We WILL continue to do that. Many of us enjoy online investigating, digging for the facts. Your arguement is weak at best.

You support a illegal hacking group who have broken many laws by hacking into many websites, causing people to have to sign up for "Identity Thief and Credit monitoring services, because they decided to plaster and steal everyday peoples information to prove some point.

  35. Racer X is CORRECT. Anonymous only targets people who are wrong or evil. For example the Steubenville rape case where the football players who did the evil deed and were posting photos online of their conquest....they were target by Anonymous. Child molestors, hoaxers and other people doing bad things like Rick Dyer are usually the targets. They do things like max out peoples credit cards, wreck their personal credit- stuff like this. "A weekend cyberattack campaign targeting Israeli government websites failed to cause serious disruption, officials said Sunday. The attacks followed warnings in the name of the group Anonymous that it was launching a massive hacking assault to protest Israeli policy toward the Palestinians"

Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md.) said he was targeted by hacker group Anonymous for co-authoring a cybersecurity bill that overwhelmingly passed the lower chamber this month.

Seems to me the bad out weighs the good with Anonymous. You all sit and say how bad Rick Dyer is about Hoaxing and commiting Fraud on people. Then you say a group like Anonymous are great people. You can protest with out commiting a crime.
Greater good is not always the Greater in a situation.

  36. The only reason I could think someone would defend Rick at this point:

    1. They are part of the scam

    or

    2. They are too dumb to realize they are being duped by a guy who has done this before.

Don't you think that if the body was real, the news would have leaked out through one Ricks supposed researchers or scientists or whatever bullshit people he says are working on this?

Its all a load of horse shit and come August Rick is going to offer up another reason for a delay or make some stupid excuse...or just plain disappear.

    1. While I agree that this is very likely a hoax, I don't buy the argument that this would have leaked already if it were true. There are plenty of "holes" you can look at, but speculating what someone would have or should have done is pointless.

  37. Here is the breakdown from the information we have collected so far about where Ricks 'Bigfoot' money came from:

    1. Rick received a $10,000 donation early in the year not related to his memberships. This was after he announced he had a bigfoot. This is likely his 'financial' backer that he speaks of. I doubt this guy is still supporting him now.

    2. Rick has received at LEAST $200,000 in membership money. It is well known he has well over 2000 memberships. The real amount we will never know unless this goes to court, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to $300k. A very successful hoax.

    3. Now he has setup 'donation' links on his website to buy Dallas and Wayne a new truck transmission so they can afford to go Bigfoot hunting again. What a load of shit...is this is mere coincidence it went up just 2 days after memberships were stopped? I think not. Just a new reason to keep the money flowing.

    ...and the Hoax continues...

    1. 1. Does anyone actually know if the investor story is actually true? The only evidence I am aware of is Rick's word (as well as the 10K donation).

      2. Why are you taking his word on the number of memberships? That and the amount of money is just speculation.

      3. Again on the one hand you take his word on one thing, but not his claim to fix the truck.

I think it best not to trust what he says.

  38. Ya Rick spent a bunch of that $10k on the vehicle wrap for his SUV. Anyone ever read what's on his vehicle? It says CNN on one side lol what a joke! I garuntee CNN doesn't want anything to do with Rick Dyer. In fact if they knew that he used their logo they would be pissed. On the door it says "Ghost Tracker" on one side and on the other door it says "Bigfoot Tracker" and has a bigfoot on the hood. So funny!

  39. Jason,

1.) 10,000 was donated to him in what year 2013. Where is the evidence of this?

2.) 200,000 in membership money? Please show the math of how you came up with that number.Where did you get this actual number of memberships beyond Ricks word that he says he has 2,000 Members how can you believe that since we know Rick lies about things.

Lets work in actual facts please.

  40. Here is the link showing Rick talking about his $10,000 windfall:

    http://bigfootevidence101.blogspot.ca/2013/01/facebooker-donates-10000-to.html

As for the $200,000 do the math...he says he is well over 2000 members. Now lets assume 2400 members as being the 'well over number' of members.

Lets be generous and say 1200 memberships are $5 silvers: 1200x5 = $6000

The majority left are gold memberships at $199 each. Lets say there are 1000 of those: 1000x 199 = $199,000

    The remaining 200 are platinum at $399 each: 200x399 = $79,800

Grand Total from memberships in Ricks pocket TAX FREE: $284,800

That much money tax free is the same as about $400,000 too since there is no income tax on it.

    He bilked the community HUGE!

    1. Jason, the point is all the information is coming from Rick. Why believe some of the things he says and not others? It could be that he is inflating numbers and not being truthful simply to make himself look better. You can't put much stock into these figures.

      Delete
    2. Nah the subscription numbers come from Pinkfoot who does them so I am pretty sure the numbers are accurate

      Delete
    3. I tend to agree that Rick is inlating numbers in order to show he has a larger fllowing than he actually does.
There are ways Rick can show real numbers to support his claim but I doubt he would do that.
He said he's made $10,000 of ad sense. A simple screen shot from analytics could prove that if it's true.

    4. Jason,

Where does the Payment go too?
When you clicked the link to pay for the membership it went to Rick Dyer LLC, so this is not tax free money his LLC will need to claim the earnings. So your claim about tax free money is not accurate.
This is why I do not believe his numbers or Pinks numbers.

      Question:
Did these people who paid Rick not do it out of there own free will? They knew who Rick was, they knew his past. Yet they decided to pay Rick these fees for membership in hopes to see something in advance. SO i don't see how he "He bilked the community HUGE!"
You are making huge generalizations much like Rick does.
Please keep it with a base of reality.
We don't believe a word of what Rick or even Pink says so why should we take there word now on members.
Best way to out this as a hoax is to be real about it.

      Delete
    5. They paid to see something in advance which was promised before the movie to arrive (it did not), then apparently the movie was supposed to give irrefutable proof that Rick shot and has a real bigfoot. Rick is even recorded saying that the body would be shown in the movie which it wasn't. Basically everything he promised did not happen. He then moved the date back to August 15th, removed his membership signups and is now asking the believers for more money to 'buy Dallas and Wayne' a new transmission for their truck so they can get back to hunting Bigfoot again.
As for the membership numbers...ok there is no way to verify it, but once there was a movie trailer that came out, people signed up en-masse because they felt like it was going to be the real deal and many felt like it validated what Rick was saying so A LOT signed up. I believe the numbers to be relatively accurate.

Ricks Youtube subscribership where the tracker members watch his weekly radio show is right around 2000 people. His videos have on average 3-8000 views after a month or so, and I think that mainly it is just members watching that shit, so that's another way justifying the numbers even if it is again not solid proof again. It all just sort of points towards the 2000 memberships being about right. Who knows perhaps its all a lie too but I don't feel like it is.

  41. Hey Dyer members:

You must know Rick is hoaxing yes? Feel obligated to stick it out because you paid you membership and want something for that money? You don't have to you know...you can ask for a refund. Don't waste anymore of your time and money on an obvious hoax. He is making a living off of duping people. After the hoax is over, do you really want to be one of the ones that said, I was in it till the end, convinced all the way through even when 90% of the people left?

  48. Rick Dyer, claims he got $50 million for the bigfoot body, yet lives in a tiny $63,000 house in North Las Vegas, while begging for $5 for his crappy book on his free blog talk radio show. It's been 8 months, and not a single piece of evidence has been produced. When will the few remaining followers finally wake up? When will Cathiee give up, and go back to making his creepy, bdsm lesbian computer art?

  49. People on FBFB are saying Rick has singlehandedly managed to destroy the bigfoot community with his hoax. While I think that may be a bit overboard, he definitely hurt it big time. Rick has zero street cred now, and will never get it back in the future after this. He is a PARIAH

    ReplyDelete
  50. For a minute lets assume its not hoax...I think what has become the "wrench in the gears" of this whole saga is that Rick may have determined that "hiding" this bigfoot may be more profitable than unveiling it.

Basically he's doing all he can to squeeze every penny out of this situation. And to be honest, its hard to blame someone for that when they don't have a "day job".

I don't agree with it, and I definitely disagree with committing fraud, but that could be what is happening.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes but your premise doesn't make sense. I mean why would Rick try to squeeze every penny out by hiding his bigfoot> I mean he might have made a few hundred thousand dollar by doing this so far, but why would he do this when he claims he got $50 million dollars for the body already? Wouldn't he be sitting somewhere in Hawaii on a yacht laughing all the way to the bank?

There are so many things that don't add up that points to it being a hoax that its just so obvious once you look at everything. The problem is getting people to look at all the evidence against him.

Personally I think Ricks history of Fraud speaks for itself. Ricks history of Fraud Especially:

      1. 2010 Arrest for Fraud on EBAY as shown on the news where it shows his picture and a Fraud alert. See video of this on the sidebar.

      2. 2008 Ricks First Bigfoot body Hoax perpetrated with Tom Biscardi. CNN video is floating around here somewhere.

      3. 2011 INTERNATIONAL fraud arrest where Rick was arrested after selling vehicles on EBAY to Canadians and not sending the vehicles after selling them. Basically he took the money and ran to his wife's family in Mexico according to the news story. Again the news video shows Ricks photo and is posted on this website somewhere on the sidebar I think. Local tv news station report.

      4. Insurance Fraud where Ricks "Bigfoot Tracker" RV was shown on the news on fire on the side of the highway burning. Apparently it was Ricks as the news report said the owners vehicle said "Team Tracker" all over it and was towed behind his Team Tracker SUV. There was an insurance fraud investigation, but apparently they were unable to prove the fire was intentionally set....but given Ricks history I think we know the truth. Rick told the news reporters that he was travelling from state to state with his family hot on the trail of a specific Bigfoot that was running across the country or something. He said he had been chasing this bigfoot for months, and his RV engine somehow overheated and caught fire. The news report said there was little damage to the main Team Tracker vehicle, but the RV was gutted. There is video footage of this on the news too. I think this is shown on video somewhere on this site too, but if not the full news report can be seen on Bigfoot Lunch Clubs website.

      5. The 2012/2013 hoax that he is currently undertaking. This latest and greatest hoax has singlehandedly managed to destroy the bigfoot community in ways that are basically unprecedented. FBFB basically shut down, thousands of believers were bilked out of their good money, a movie based on 'fraudsters' in the bigfoot community was made (not by Rick) and Rick attempted to cash in on this one to the max by even writing a book to sell that was timed to release at the same time as the movie was shown. His 'Team Tracker' memberships that went from $5 all the way up to $499 at one point for a platinum membership made thousands by taking believers money and giving nothing in return...well nothing so far, and when and IF he does release something to them its once again going to be a costume in a freezer or something along those lines.

@Racer X- I am sure I wasn't able to list all of Ricks Hoaxes and scams, but these are the ones that I know about. If you know of more please feel free to elaborate!

PS- for those who don't know I am a platinum member who knows this is a hoax and suspected as much from the start. I am here for the show more than anything :)

      Cheers

    3. Mata-Hari,

I am not defending Dyer but in the interest of fairness can you address some points?

First the Corvette ebay business. As Racer X pointed out, he hasn't been convicted of anything. Dyer's story is that the fraud was done by his ex-wife while he was in Russia. Indeed he was arrested at the airport. Do you have any further info?

Second, I have never even heard there was a question of fraud in the burned RV case. I know people in BF have thrown that out there, but do you have any information that the actual insurance company investigated it?

    4. In regards to the $50 million figure, I believe Rick has stated before that he is only getting a small percentage of it. You could factor into the possibility that he hasn't been payed that as of yet. I am not saying that I believe this, but people throw that $50 million as it would be all Rick's. Of course five or ten percent of that is still a lot of money, but it is large difference in the end.

      Delete
  51. I believe that $50 million dollar thing as much as I believe Bigfoots can fly.

Rick just made a post on his website stating that there is only 23 members in Team Tracker....how does this make sense when just 2 weeks ago on his radio show Rick himself stated that they had over 2000 members....what a contradiction!

I bet you anything he is saying he only has 23 members because he knows that the law is looking into all the fraud claims and he wants to play things down a lot to cover his ass.

Rick has totally lost it, his website doesn't even post stuff on Bigfoot anymore, he just posts hater hoax crap, the same with his radio show, its all about haters now.

Even his Radio shows cheesy commercials that seem to have been thrown together by someone as crazy as Rick are about haters. Like a 5 minute "Hater-Aid" commercial that has someone with multiple personality disorder imitating 5 different people with the guy doing it simply changing the pitch of his voice trying to convince people that there are actually 5 people in the commercial. It comes across as straight up CRAZY.

One thing is for sure, people are bailing from Team Tracker by the hundreds as they finally seem to be seeing through the lies.

  54. Just a quick note. I have worked in over 50 Home Depots, across a dozen states and over a period of almost 4 years and part of my job was the nightly dumping of things in their trash compactor. There is no dumpster and in fact they have a very, very strict policy on everything thrown away. Nothing from the most miniscule (empty cardboard boxes) to the broken more expensive merchandise is ever allowed to be taken from the compactor and they in fact take every precaution to prevent anything from being removed. These compactors, which are only accessible from the inside and are padlocked and only to be opened while being watched by a manager until locked again. On top of that they also have cameras focused on them 24/7. I was never made aware of why this is the case, but it was strictly enforced be damned of the environmental and charitable consequences. Also to another posters point, home depots are not attached to other stores like in a strip mall with a possibility of having a dumpster in close proximity from another store. They are box buildings unto themselves, which also goes to their nation wide policy of liability protection. I dont know how important the dumpster behind home depot thing is to the whole Rick Dyer story, but if that is being used as a literal fact, central to the proof, then that is a problem with that. No dumpsters behind home depots period
